Initial setting of Abroad! (2000.8.1)Abroad! considers the user's country info, whichuser has set in the standard Prefs application. The Palm OS 2.0-3.3 and 3.5 support 24 and 33 countries, respectively. The initial settings of Abroad! for each country are as follows:*** ATTENTION ***AS I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE INFORMATIONS OF CURRENCY CALC OR MAP MODE USED IN EACH COUNTRY. This is because, (1) most currencyinformation homepages prepare currency code in thisformat and (2) rates of some currencies are fixed toUSD. In addition, I have a dream that someone (orcompanies) provide updated currency rate via netand PlamVII can download it wireless way. The worldwide currency rates will be updated automatically. For this purpose, I want to fix the data format ofcurrency code list. If you want to be my partner toprovide currency rate on your homepage, please contact me (Please note that I am not familiar with networknor PC based applications. I also almost forgot to write Mac application.)In Abroad! 3.9 or before, the settings are optimized for users in US, which covered about 65 % of registered users. However, Abroad! 4.0 will support more than 95 % of registered users and diminish their efforts to build thier settings. From this version, I think Abroad! became a world wide application. If you have not registered Abroad!, it takes severalseconds to optimize database to your country at everystartup as any settings are not saved until you register.(Once you register Abroad!, NO additional fee isrequired for the future updates.)
