Palm hosts a proxy server which is configured to be the default server for Web Pro. The proxy helps compress the Internet content and optimizes it for your handheld. Proxyless browsing requires more memory than proxy-based browsing. Some devices with lower memory such as Tungsten T, T2, Treo 600 and Zire 71 might give an error when you are trying to browse a large sized web page in proxyless mode. The error would be "Page too large." In that case, it would be better to switch the browser to proxy-mode and reload the page for better results. In order to switch to proxy-mode, click on the Menu bar and go to Options Menu. Choose Preferences --> Advanced --> Tap the check box which says "Set proxy". If the default proxy is not configured already, input the following values: Proxy address: webpro.palm.com Port number: 8827 PALM WEB PRO 3.0 HANDBOOK (USER MANUAL) ======================================= For more detailed information about the product, you can download the Palm Web Pro 3.0 handbook from the support site http://www.palmone.com/us/support/accessories/webpro30/ TECHNICAL SUPPORT INFORMATION ============================= --- For help or questions regarding purchasing and downloading Palm Web Pro to your computer, contact Handango customer support.
