After long time SMS support was added. Now you can receive and send messages.
Program supports Class 0/1/2/3 messages. It means that you can also send flash messages.

Requirements

This program requires PalmOS 3.3 and New Serial Manager to work properly.
Limited functionality is provided on PalmOS 3.1 - IR enhance pack from Palm Inc. is required.
Please see additional Visor notes if you are Handspring Visor user. It requires more attention when installing IR Enhance update.
This application was tested on Palm Vx and Siemens S25 phone. But it works with models S35/M35/C35 too.

Installation

Simply extract contents of the ZIP file and install S25phone.prc file using Install tool. Application will be installed after next hotsync in Unfiled category. Please see Starting section for more details about configuration.

Handspring Visor

This program also works on older model of Handspring PDAs (Visor, Visor Solo or Visor Deluxe) running PalmOS 3.1 but you will probably need to install Palm Enhanced Infrared Update.

Warning: Do not install AMX.prc, SerialIrPnl.prc or IrLib.prc which are a part of the Palm Enhanced Infrared Update. These applications will cause problems with your handheld. Do not follow the instructions on this Palm web page to install the updater. These instructions only apply to Palm devices. Extract the files from the ZIP or EXE file and install just one of the files: SerIrCommLib.prc to your Visor.

Starting

After starting S25 Phone you have to set communication parameters.
Program is using infrared port to communicate with phone. If you need to
use cable you must change it in Settings dialog.

Connection - infrared or serial ports - depends on Palm model
Port Speed - 19200 should be used for serial ports
SIM PIN2* - password for changing fixed SIM directory
Enable Write - enable writing data back to the phone (directory entries)
Empty Last - empty records are put at the end of the directory list

* = leave this field empty to disable writing to fixed SIM directory.
This feature is not fully tested and protects your SIM card from permanent damage.
SIM Card could be damaged by entering wrong PIN & PUK numbers.

Phone Info

This form is displayed on startup. You can find here info about phone & SIM card:

Producer - name of phone manufacturer (Siemens...)
Model - phone model name (S25, S35...)
Revision - firmware version
IMEI - International Mobile Equipment Identity = phone ID/serial number
IMSI - International Mobile Subscriber Identity = user ID number
SIM S/N - SIM ID number (written on SIM card surface)
Battery - tap to update battery (energy source) status
Check - tap to retrieve or update all data
Log - tap to add log entry to Memo note

Network Info

This page contains information about GSM network.

Status - No activity, Seeking, Checked-in, Denied, Roaming, Unknown
Area* - network area code (hex and dec values)
Cell ID* - network cell ID number (hexadecimal and decimal values)
Name* - network name (or number)
MCC* - Mobile Country Code
MNC* - Mobile Network Code
Level - signal (level) strength in dBm (-50 dBm is stronger -100 dBm)
Available - list of available networks (tap on entry to change current network)
Nets** - tap to retrieve list of available networks
Log - tap to add info to Memo note
Check - tap to retrieve all information about current network
Refresh - tap to update Status & Area & Cell ID & Signal

* = Available only when checked in network
** = Available only after tapping on Nets button

Messages

You can receive or send messages using your GSM phone. There are following items in Message menu.

Receive All - receive all messages from phone
Send All - send all messages from Outbox
New - compose new message
Delete All - delete all messages in current folder
Preferences - change message preferences for
New - tap to create new entry (at first empty location)
