Alarms can be set either locally or in any city around the world. Wherever you travel to, and no matter how many time zones you cross, CityTime Alarms will constantly track and update all alarms and trigger them at the specified date / time and location.

An unlimited number and combination of alarms, timers and stopwatches, each with their own description, can be set, operating and active at the same time

Additionally any alarm can be set to appear in the Datebook application so international alarms set in CityTime Alarms can appear alongside any normal datebook entries. CityTime Alarms will track these entires and update them as you travel.

Full repeat functionality is also included. Alarms with daily, weekly, monthly or yearly repeat settings are all supported.

This program will operate without CityTime, but it relies on the settings and cities in CityTime to set and track time zone aware alarms. Without CityTime it will operate as an alarm, timer and stopwatch system but you will not be able to set international alarms.

____What's New in this Version

Version 1.0 002 includes some minor bug fixes to versio 1.0.

____Installation

CityTime Alarms has been designed so that it is easy to install and update. There are no installation or setup programs required either to install or upgrade CityTime Alarms.

The file is normally transferred over the Internet as a compressed '.zip' file and should be decompressed automatically by most web browsers. The decompressed file required to either install or upgrade the program is called 'CTAlarms.prc' - this is the file that should be installed on your Palm OS organiser.

- New Installation: The CTAlarms.prc file can be installed by choosing 'Install Handheld Files' from the Palm Desktop program or the HotSync Manager program. The file can also be dragged onto either of these programs. The file will be installed on the device during the next HotSync.

- Existing Installation. The program is updated in the same way as it is originally installed. All versions of CityTime Alarms can be installed over the top of any existing version. All database and registration information will be automatically updated if required from previous versions. There is no need to delete any files before upgrading this product.

If you are having problems installing the program, please see the support section at our web site (www.codecity.net) for more detailed information, or write to us at the email addresses below.

____Getting Started

The operation of CityTime Alarms should be fairly straightforward. Detailed help text is provided to explain every area of the program and can be accessed either by tapping on the (i) button in any dialog, or by choosing 'Help' from the menu on the main screen.

Ideally you will have already launched CityTime at least once so that the home city is set. This is not essential but is required if you want to set international alarms and can be done at any time.

When first opened you should see a blank list of alarms on the main screen and the current time in the top right hand corner of the screen. Tap on the time to see the current date and tap on it again to see the currently selected home city (assuming it is set).

If the time is incorrect this can be set either from CityTime or from the Palm's built in 'Prefs' program. If the home city is incorrect this can be set from within Citytime.

To start CityTime Alarms either tap on it's icon from the Launcher or choose 'Alarms' from the Utilities menu in CityTime. This extra menu option will only appear in CityTime only when CityTime Alarms is installed. Alternatively in CityTime write shortcut-A, or write shortcut and then tap on the Alarm icon from the shortcut panel. (There's a number of ways to start the program)

Tapping 'Done' from the List View in CityTime Alarms will exit the program and take you to wherever the program was launched from: If CityTime Alarms was started from the launcher then it will exit to the launcher. If it was started from within Citytime then it will exit back into CityTime.

____Useful Tips for Using the Program

- To make city selection faster when a list of cities is displayed, write the first letter of the city in the Graffiti area to show cities beginning with that letter. For example, to find London quickly, write an 'L' in the Graffiti area when any list of cities is displayed.

- Use the hardware up and down buttons to make navigating through the lists of cities easier. This is easier and much faster than tapping the on screen up and down arrows.

- Tapping on the time (in the top right corner of the screen) will show the current day and date in your home city for a few seconds. Tapping it again will show the current Home City as selected in CityTime.

____Registering the Program

CityTime Alarms can be easily registered online via the 'Products' link on the front page of our web site at;

http://www.codecity.net

If you would prefer to register by mail, phone, fax etc., please get in touch with the people at any of the following sites.
