ConvertCalc - CodeThought, Inc.

With this distribution, ConvertCalc is available for two different CPU Architectures; OS5/ARM and OS4/Dragonball or earlier. You should install the distribution appropriate for your architecture. Installing the wrong one won't hurt your device in any way, however you won't be able to take advantage of the features unique to a given distribution. The OS5 version, while larger, is up to 25 times faster on OS5 devices. The OS4/Dragonball version is 200k smaller.

The OS4/Dragonball version runs on PalmOS 3.x or newer. You'll find that release in the OS3 directory.

Each OS release comes in two distribution types: Large and Small. The differences are described below.

OS5 Version
-----------
Large Distribution: The OS5/ARM Native NSBasic Runtime and the shared libraries needed by DES Store are bundled into the DES Store program itself. This makes for a larger PRC file, but then you only need install a single file.

Small Distribution: If you already have the OS5/ARM NSBasic 4.4 Runtime installed, you can use this version instead. It'll save you about 300k.

OS4/Dragonball (and Earlier) Version
------------------------------------
Large Distribution: The OS4/Dragonball NSBasic Runtime and the shared libraries needed by DES Store are bundled into the DES Store program itself. This makes for a larger PRC file, but then you only need install a single file.

Small Distribution: If you already have the OS4/Dragonball NSBasic 4.4 Runtime installed, you can use this version instead. It'll save you about 100k.

Note that ConvertCalc was built with NSBasic 4.4 and includes the NSBasic 4.4 runtime. Installing the runtime separately may have unexpected results with applications built with older versions of NSBasic. If you are unsure of your other applications, it's best to use the Large Distribution. This avoids any collision with existing NSBasic applications.
