Release Notes
-------------

Hebrew Support for PalmOS Version 2.00
--------------------------------------
This version of "Hebrew Support for PalmOS" works on
the PalmPilot (Personal and Professional) as well as on
the Palm III.

Support for the Palm III's new Large Bold Font has
been added to this version of "Hebrew Support for
the Palm III".

A "Small Icon" has been added for compatibility with the
Palm III. The "Small Icon" is used by the Application
Launcher on the Palm III when the preferences are set to
"View By List".

For those users who are "surfing the web" with their
PalmPilots / Palm IIIs, there are some web sites with
Hebrew content that is displayed backwards on the
Pilot. The ability to temporarily reverse Hebrew text
has been added in order to allow these web sites to be
viewed properly. In order to do this, run "Hebrew", and
select Menu / Toggle Direction (or Command Stroke T).
When this is selected, the Hebrew message on the screen
will be reversed to show that Hebrew is being displayed
backwards (i.e., from "Left to Right"). Selecting this
again will reset the display to its normal "Right to
Left" mode for Hebrew text. If Hebrew has been set to
"Left to Right", and the Pilot is reset, Hebrew will
be returned to its normal "Right to Left" mode.

In "Hebrew Support for the PalmPilot", each Hebrew
character in the standard font and the large font had a
space to the left of the character, but all non-Hebrew
characters have a space to the right of the character.
This caused a problem in cases where there was a Hebrew
character immediately to the left of a non-Hebrew
character. In many cases, the two characters would be
touching each other. This was very apparent with
certain punctuation characters like a dash (-), a single
quote ('), or a double quote ("). This has been fixed
so that all Hebrew characters in all fonts have a space
to their right.

The bitmaps for several Hebrew characters have been
changed slightly to improve their readability.

The use of the term "Install" in the "Hebrew"
application was confusing. This term is no longer used.
Instead of "Installed", "Uninstalled" and "Not
Installed", the terms "Enabled" and "Disabled" or "Not
Enabled" are used.

In order to prevent some of the problems that occurred
when attempting to run "Hebrew Support for the
PalmPilot" on a Palm III, this version will be prevented
from running on any version of PalmOS higher than 3.x,
and therefore should not cause any undesirable side
effects in the future.
