In the record list if the column header is visible, you will be able to open up a small box by tapping on the name of the column that you want to sort.

The choice Ascending Sort will sort your records in normal alphabetic order if the selected field is alphanumeric or in increasing order if the field is numeric. The contrary will be done for Descending Sort.
