    You can access global preferences from the Options/Global Prefs... menu, which, in turn, can be accessed from nearly all the windows in the application.

    The Global Preferences window is in three sections: &#8220;Buttons&#8221;, &#8220;Actions&#8221; and &#8220;Display&#8221;.
    Upon opening the window, the &#8220;Actions&#8221; section is active. To change sections, tap on the button corresponding to the one that you want at the top of the window.

        This allows you to permit a record being searched from an application outside of Pilot-DB, such as the standard Find for the PalmOS.

        If the driver for the database allows you to use filters, a local search through the record list will be done through a

        If you check off this box, after editing a record, all the calculated fields will be recalculated.
        This operation could take some time, so it is advised that you disactivate this option most of the time.

        If you tap on the Select button, you will be able to access the standard font selection for

         Handara 330 type machines have an extended font selector that enables you to select tiny fonts. You can display with these new fonts up to 22 lines of records rather than the usual ten lines.

         For Sony machines with a 320x320 screen a window will open on your initial launch to ask whether you want a tiny or standard-sized font. With a tiny font you can display 20 lines rather than ten.
        </p></fake></div></dd><dt xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><span xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" class="term">Number of Digits After the Decimal Point</span></dt><dd xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><fake><p xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        This field must contain a number from one to ten, which corresponds to the number of digits after the decimal point that real numbers should display in record lists.
       </p></fake></dd><dt xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><span xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" class="term">Default Column Size</span></dt><dd xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><fake><p xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        This field must contain a number between 10 and 160 to indicate column size in the <a xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" href="">Default View</a>.
       </p></fake></dd><dt xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><span xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" class="term">Column Titles</span></dt><dd xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><fake><p xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        Once it has been checked off, column titles will no longer be displayed. This allows you to view one more line of records.
       </p></fake></dd><dt xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><span xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" class="term">Column Separation</span></dt><dd xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><fake><p xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        It is possible by checking off this box to have a vertical line appear between columns in the record list.

        This allows you to select whether or not to use High Resolution for Sony and Handera machines. To activate this option, you will have to exit
        Pilot-DB.
