Each database may have its own behaviour. Database preferences can be found by opening the database and tapping on DB Options/Prefs in the record list.

The database will be saved during the next HotSync on your computer through PalmDesktop.

The database will no longer be opened during a record search from an application outside of Pilot-DB.
