Introduction

Can you match ancient Egyptian heiroglyphs in a limited time ? How is your memory ?

Eye Of Horus is a twist on the classic 'memory' game!

The aim is to remove all matching pairs of heiroglyphs from the game board, leaving just one - the Eye Of Horus.

Take the tiles in one of many special sequences, and you'll activate a magical spell - some of these are good effects, and some of them are curses to remember and avoid!

Features:

How To Install

Use an extractor program such as WinZip on the PC or Stuffit Expander on the Mac to get at the Eye Of Horus files. Install the game by double-clicking the prc file.

Use the HotSync button as usual to install the game onto your handheld.

Now run Eye Of Horus and tap the screen to play the game!

If you've got any queries about Eye Of Horus or the registration process, first check out our frequently asked questions page on our website (you must be connected to the internet to access this). If this doesn't help, get in touch with us at support@astraware.com. If you've got any questions (or suggestions, we love those) about the game itself, please get in touch with us at the email address at the top of this page.

How To Play Eye Of Horus

Eye Of Horus is easy to learn and play! Run the game and tap 'easy' to start a game.

The game will start, and display a whole set of different heiroglyphs (symbols). It will give you a few seconds to try to memorise the positions of some of them.

The tiles will all turn over, and its up to you to tap on the backs to turn them over. If you turn over two in a row of the same type, then they will disappear.

There is just one of the Eye Of Horus tile - and so you can't find a match for it! The aim of the game is to clear the board except for this tile.

Magic Spells

Built in to the game are many magic spell sequences! Some of the spells are good, showing you some ofthe tiles, or giving you bonus points or time. Some are not so good...

At the end of each level you'll be given the formula for a spell, which is a sequence of tiles that will cause the spell to happen. Simple spells require just two pairs to be taken, more complicated ones require three or four pairs.

During the game, if you select a tile pair that are the start of a spell sequence, then they will stay up and highlighted. Any further tile pairs that are part of the same spell will also stay up, until you either complete the spell, or you choose a tile which isn't part of the spell, breaking it. Learning the spells over time is the key to getting the highest scores, but isn't essential to playing the game for fun.

Registering

If you downloaded the game straight from the internet, from Astraware's web pages, or from one of the popular Palm download sites, then your copy is in 'Demo' form. Demo means that you can play 10 games for free, and then decide whether to register it or not. After these games are up, the program will display a short message before each game.

In Demo form, you can play 10 games of Eye Of Horus for free, as you decide whether you like it or not. After these games are up, the program will display a short message asking you to register or purchase a full version from a shop!

If you beam a demo to someone else, and they also like the game, then they can register it either by purchasing a copy from a local store, or by purchasing online.

Registering Online:

For those that like the speed and convenience of buying of the internet, when you register for the game, you'll get a key which will unlock the game and remain valid for future 1.x upgrades. Go to the web page at http://palm.astraware.com/eoh/
for more details.

You'll need to know your HotSync ID which you can find by running Eye Of Horus, and going into the menu, and selecting the 'register' option. Your HotSync ID (or username) will be filled in for you below.

When you register, Astraware will generate a key based on your ID, which will normally be sent out by email within 48 hours of you registering. When you receive your key, go to the same register option, and enter the key into the space provided.

Submit your High Scores!
