IDGuard can be purchased at the Resco web site or at several major resellers of PDA software.
No matter where you purchase the software, the license is valid for the Palm OS version, desktop PC version or for other platforms Resco may support in the future.
Normally you purchase IDGuard for your handheld device.
Legal owners of Resco products are entitled to free upgrades within one year from the date of the purchase. The prolongation for the next year costs 50% of the product's actual price.
To upgrade simply install the new version over the old one. As a rule, all upgrades are downwards compatible. (Any other action would have to be indicated in the release notes.)
Problems
Did you write the UserID (HotSyncId, owner name etc.) into the User name field of the registration dialog?
If yes, then it must be a typing error.
The UserID used for the purchase must be identical to the user name
shown in the registration dialog.
Usual problems are a case error, missing space etc.
Contact Resco support and ask for another code.
Please, include real UserID and some proof of purchase - for example the registration e-mail that you must have received.
You can retrieve the code from www.resco.net/support/technical/resend.asp.
This works provided:
You can also contact our support at palm@resco-net.com.
Palm OS notes
HotSyncID is the string that the PalmOS uses to identify the session between the handheld and the desktop PC.
You can find it this way on your handheld:
This happens if you use a smartphone that was never Hotsynced. In such case type (for example) your name inplace of the HotsyncID in the purchase form and type this string also to the application registration form. (Resco IDGuard allows that when the HotsyncID is empty.)
IDGuard is part of the Resco Suite. In other words you can use the Resco Suite unlock code to register IDGuard as well.
