Due to increasing demand, we are planning a version of Métro  for RIM's BlackBerry platform. For various reasons (among them the unavailaibility of a native development kit), this version will not be entirely stand-alone and will require an internet connection to work. However, we will try to ensure it does not consume too much bandwidth.

At the time of this writing, we cannot provide a time frame for this release, but we hope to be able to have something ready by the end of 2007.

In the meantime, we encourage users of BlackBerry devices to use our "lo-fi" version of i-Métro . It requires an internet connection to work but it should consume little bandwidth.

The service has been tested on a few devices and we are confident it works on most BlackBerrys on the market today.

To use i-Métro  on your BlackBerry, just point its web browser to http://i-metro.mobi.

Keep in mind you can set a bookmark once you have selected a city, for faster access on your future route calculations.
