Dragon Bane II:
Return of Kra'an
Version 1.0.2

(c) 2001-2 MythoLogical Software
http://www.mythological.com

Thank-you for playing Dragon Bane II, by MythoLogical Software!

REGISTRATION:

This demo is fully playable through the first three levels. After that
point, you will need to purchase an unlock key and enter it in the
game's "License" screen to continue playing. There is no need to
download a new version, and you will not be asked to type in the unlock
key again.

To purchase an unlock key please visit our web site at:
http://www.mythological.com

When registering, either from our website or from any other online
software distributor, you will be asked to supply your "RegCode" (some
sites may ask for your "Pilot User Name" or "Registration ID", however
it is always preferrable to enter your RegCode in the space provided).
You can find your RegCode in the license screen of the game by simply
running Dragon Bane II, tapping the "Menu" silkscreen key, and selecting
"License" from the "Options" menu.

We recommend that you purchase your unlock key before you finish the
demo because the registration process can take some time. We
automatically email unlock keys to users within seconds of receiving
batch sales reports from online distributors. But depending on the
time of day that you order and the time the distributor emails us
their batch sales report, the process can take minutes or up to a day.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Dragon Bane II will run on any PalmOS device going back to the Palm OS
2.x "Palm Professional" device. Dragon Bane II supports the maximum
color depth of your device up to 256 colors. Although it is possible to
run a lower color depth graphics set on devices capable of more colors
to save memory, we recommend you install the best set of graphics data
files your device supports.

To install Dragon Bane II, you need to install 4 files:
- DrgBane2.prc
- ReturnKraan.pdb
- Install any two matching graphics data files of your choice:
a) For 4 gray graphics, install: Tile4Shade.pdb and Wall4Shade.pdb
or
b) For 16 gray graphics, install: Tile16Shade.pdb and Wall16Shade.pdb
or
c) For 256 color graphics, install: Tile256Shade.pdb and Wall256Shade.pdb

If you accidentally install more than one pair of graphics data files,
the game will simply run with the best graphics data your device
supports.

Note that the following devices support only 4 shade graphics: Palm
Professional, Palm III (original only). All other devices should
support either 16 shade gray or 256 color.

UPGRADING DRAGON BANE II:

If you are upgrading Dragon Bane II from a previously installed version,
_do not_ delete any Dragon Bane II files on your handheld before
installing the new version. This way, all your save game slots, and
your license key, if you have entered it, will remain intact.

Simply install the 4 files as per above, and you will be able to continue
playing from where you left off.

INSTALLING THIRD PARTY ADVENTURES:

Dragon Bane II allows you to install and play multiple simultaneous
adventures. The "ReturnKraan.pdb" and two Tile and Wall graphics data
files are required to play the "Return of Kra'an" adventure that comes
with Dragon Bane II.

However, for other adventures, you will have to read the installation
that come with the adventure. Some may re-use some of the data they
assume that you have installed from the "Return of Kra'an" adventure,
while others may require you to distribute their own data files that
separatedly.

If you are interested in creating your own adventures for Dragon Bane II,
see the free Dragon Bane II Adventure Construction Kit (DB2ACK)
available on the "download" page of our website.

RESTORING SAVE GAMES:

If you happen to lose your game (by accidentally wiping out your memory)
then you can recover your save games by:
- Re-install Dragon Bane II
- Re-enter your unlock key
- Install your save game file backed up on your desktop computer. Each
adventure you have installed will backup its save games each time you
hotsync with your computer. Simply install the save files from your
desktop computer to continue playing. For example:
C:\Palm\UserName\Backup\Drg2Save*.pdb
